What this site records

X-Clash Codex is an unofficial fan wiki. It is run by one person, it carries no advertising, and it uses no third-party analytics: there is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, and nothing that follows you to other sites.

If you only read the site

Each page view records the path you visited, the language you were reading in, the domain of the site that linked you (never the full address), whether the request looked like a bot, and a visitor identifier.

That identifier is a one-way hash of your session, salted with a key held only on the server. Your IP address is never stored. The hash exists so two page views in one visit can be counted as one visit, and it cannot be turned back into an address or a name.

Page views are deleted automatically after 90 days. That is a scheduled job, not an intention.

Cookies

Two, both necessary: a session cookie, and a token that protects forms from being submitted by another site on your behalf. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no consent banner to dismiss.

Plans you build on the map planners are kept in your own browser's storage and never leave it, unless you save or share one, which stores that plan on the server so the link works.

If you make an account

An account stores the name you choose, your email address, and your password as a hash that cannot be read back. The email is how you sign in; it is not published, not sold, and not sent anything except what you ask for.

Anything you post - forum threads and replies, hero lineups, comments, guides you submit - is public by design, under the name on your account.

If you send feedback

The feedback form records your message, the page you were on, and whatever name or contact detail you choose to put in it. Both of those fields are optional; leaving them blank still sends the message.

What the site does not do

It does not sell or share anything with anyone, it does not build advertising profiles, and it does not track you across other sites. There is nobody to sell it to and nothing here worth profiling.

Getting your data removed

Ask, through the feedback button on any page, and it will be removed. If you want an account deleted, say so and it goes, along with what it posted.

Changes

If this changes, the page changes with it. It describes how the site behaves today, and it is written in English only: rather than machine-translate a page about what happens to your data, it says it once, plainly.
