If you do one thing in Season 2, upgrade your 
Tree of Life. Troop power, Heroic Warriors and monster rallies all matter, and none of them carry you if this is behind.
The Tree of Life sets your Season Resistance, and Season Resistance decides how you do against Season 2 monsters. Being under a monster's requirement costs you twice over: you deal less damage, and it deals more to your troops.
What Resistance actually does
Every Season 2 monster has a Resistance requirement. If yours is below it:
- your damage is reduced
- the monster's damage to your troops is increased
- the bigger the gap, the bigger the penalty
Which is to say: higher Resistance is more damage dealt and fewer troops lost, at the same time. That is why this is the priority rather than a priority.
Holy Water is the whole thing
Tree of Life upgrades are paid for in Holy Water, and the amount it wants grows sharply as the levels go up. That makes Holy Water the resource to chase in Season 2.
It comes from:
Union Center production- Well of Life production
- season events and activities
- Sand Beast rewards
- other seasonal rewards
Anything that raises your Holy Water income is worth doing.
Why the Union Center matters to everyone
The Union Center is not only your building. As it levels, it unlocks the seasonal production that the whole Union draws on:

The sooner the Union gets the Union Center up, the sooner everybody has the resources their own Tree of Life needs.
The bottom line
If you are not sure what to do today:
- Upgrade the Tree of Life.
- Gather Holy Water, and spend it there.
- Push Union Center progress whenever you can.
- Repeat.
Everything else in Season 2 gets easier when your Tree of Life and your Season Resistance stay ahead of the content. It is not just another building; it is what the rest of your season stands on.
